Dolphin Expeditions-Your Crew

Geoffrey has been interacting with the spotted and bottlenose dolphins in Bimini and White Sands Ridge since he was 10. No one, that we are aware of, has been with or spent more time with these dolphins. This is his 25th season with Dolphin Expeditions...

Geoff started his swims with the dolphins at the age of ten, while living each summer in Bimini with his family. The years since have instilled him with a deep love and respect for nature, especially for the wild dolphins. As well as an accomplished sailor, Geoffrey is also a clinical hypno-therapist, body worker, breath worker, energy worker and free-diver.

Geoffrey was raised on a boat from childhood and has lived his life on the sea. He has been a skipper for several trans-Atlantic crossings as well as cruising and working boats throughout the Bahama Islands all of his life. His concern for the safety of his passengers, crew and the dolphins takes priority above all else.

'There is no place in the world that feels more like home to me than in Bimini. With it's marine life, beautiful reefs, long sandy beaches and the native islanders.'

'Since the passing of my mother, that's mom on the left, having an interesting hair day. The dolphins have become my primary family and I feel blessed. Its a privilege and a joy to be able to share this life with others.'

'Whether watching the dolphins from Indigo or our custom launch. Or becoming a part of the pod while swimming with them. The eye-to-eye contact, the sense of feelings that pass between each dolphin and perhaps those of us in the water are unique to the individual.'

The crew (like our guests) are made up of an international assortment of men and women. Their roles vary from cooking, operating and maintaining the boats, to assisting guests who may need a hand in feeling more comfortable while swimming in the sea for the first time. Their common bond is a love for the dolphins and to be able to share that experience...

We are your dolphin dream team in the Bahamas.

Below, Geoffrey getting some special time with our dolphin family...

Jillian , above and below, is the guest that wouldn't go away. Trading in Canadian snow for Bimini palm trees and dolphins might have something to do with it. Originally joining us as a guest two years ago. Jillian has turned into our do everything person.

With her infectious smile and personality.  Jillian is now our chef, turning out wonderful meals that are definately made with love. She is also our Yoga instructor, weither it's your first time or a lifestyle, she will show you a wonderful way to start the day withYoga, island/dolphin/Jilly style.

She is also our main photo and video person. Taking several thousand shots a week to compile the DVD's for our guests to take home at the end of the week...thus far each has been a work of art.

Having taken the Masters Free-Diving Class with World Champion William Trubridge she is not only a fish in the water, she is one of  our main, in water, safety persons...there to help anyone with anything that they may wish to learn and achieve in the water while you are with us. Helping to keep our perfect safety record in tact.

We will spend all the time necessary to make sure that all of our guests feel safe and confortable in the water and help take you to any level that you might wish...

Jillian, above, some morning yoga on the dolphin grounds, below, a photo taken by Becky while on a Discovery Channel shoot with us last season... since Jilly takes most all of our photo's she is rarely in one...this was a treat to have Becky catch her with her best friends doing what she does so well.

IIt is a pleasure to introduce Jillian as one of our newest crew. She is definately not new to dolphins or the water. Jillian joined us as a guest past season and wouldn't leave..maybe being 50 degrees below at home and we couldn't get her out of the water had something to do with it...

Jillian has always felt a kinship with animals and has made it her life's work to create connections between humans and animals that are enriching, empowering and enlightening.  As an animal health technologist and behaviorist she ran a marine mammal facility in Canada for 12 years.  Interacting with dolphins everyday and learning about how they relate to each other and to humans was a time of awakening in her life.  Many of her most powerful life lessons have come from the dolphins she cared for, her ability to relate to them and animals is wonderful.

As a life coach and energy worker she helps people overcome their barriers and create their wildest dreams.  She is trained in Usui and Tibetan Reiki, Ancient Healing, Bodytalk, Thai Massage and Yoga.  She teaches all levels of yoga specializing in Ashtanga and yoga for competitive swim clubs as part of their dry land training. She facilitates workshops on breath awareness and conscious breathing.

Although born in a land locked area, Jillian loves to be in the water, it's like her second home.  Enjoying wakeboarding and surfing, she is a certified Rescue SCUBA diver and is trained in water specific rescue, emergency first aid and CPR as an assistant life guard.  She dove the great barrier and Ningaloo Reef in Australia.  Can hold breath for 3 minutes and on her first time out to the Gulf Stream she free dove to a max of 84'.

Jill and Terri are our key people in the water to make sure that you always feel safe and comfortable whatever your skill level might be...we also promise that she will not be wearing the yellow fins on the left...
