Dolphin Expeditions-Your Crew

Geoffrey has been interacting with the spotted and bottlenose dolphins in Bimini and White Sands Ridge since he was 10. No one, that we are aware of, has been with or spent more time with these dolphins. This is his 26th season with Dolphin Expeditions...

Geoff started his swims with the dolphins at the age of ten, while living each summer in Bimini with his family. The years since have instilled him with a deep love and respect for nature, especially for the wild dolphins. As well as an accomplished sailor, Geoffrey is also a clinical hypno-therapist, body worker, breath worker, energy worker and free-diver.

Geoffrey was raised on a boat from childhood and has lived his life on the sea. He has been a skipper for several trans-Atlantic crossings as well as cruising and working boats throughout the Bahama Islands all of his life. His concern for the safety of his passengers, crew and the dolphins takes priority above all else.

'There is no place in the world that feels more like home to me than in Bimini. With it's marine life, beautiful reefs, long sandy beaches and the native islanders.'

'Since the passing of my mother, that's mom on the left, having an interesting hair day. The dolphins have become my primary family and I feel blessed. Its a privilege and a joy to be able to share this life with others.'

'Whether watching the dolphins from Indigo or our custom launch. Or becoming a part of the pod while swimming with them. The eye-to-eye contact, the sense of feelings that pass between each dolphin and perhaps those of us in the water are unique to the individual.'

The crew (like our guests) are made up of an international assortment of men and women. Their roles vary from cooking, operating and maintaining the boats, to assisting guests who may need a hand in feeling more comfortable while swimming in the sea for the first time. Their common bond is a love for the dolphins and to be able to share that experience...

We are your dolphin dream team in the Bahamas.

One of Our Chefs...Tita...Photos above and below...

Many of you already know and respect the work that Tita has already shared with our guests and dolphin family.  After a five year absence she is rejoining us for this dolphin season.

Tita is from Slovenia and has worked on both our boats Calypso Spirit and Indigo for five years, while also obtaining her Masters degree. She has since spent the past five years catching up on a more normal life while working towards her Ph.D. A very accomplished pianist and flautist, she has added French to her seven other languages and is now taking some time off to renew her dolphin/nature/human connection. For all of you who have experienced Tita with our dolphin family-it can be pretty magical. There is mutual love and affection between Tita and our dolphin family...welcome back Tita.

Along with being Indigos chef, who's secret ingredient is that her food comes from her heart and is made with love. She is also our photographer, in water saftey person, videographer and puts together incredible dvd's for our guests at the end of the week.

If you would like to see her in action please check out the youtube video on our home page. Click on "Freediving With Dolphins" at the top of the page.

IIt is a pleasure to introduce Jillian as one of our newest crew. She is definately not new to dolphins or the water. Jillian joined us as a guest past season and wouldn't leave..maybe being 50 degrees below at home and we couldn't get her out of the water had something to do with it...

Jillian has always felt a kinship with animals and has made it her life's work to create connections between humans and animals that are enriching, empowering and enlightening.  As an animal health technologist and behaviorist she ran a marine mammal facility in Canada for 12 years.  Interacting with dolphins everyday and learning about how they relate to each other and to humans was a time of awakening in her life.  Many of her most powerful life lessons have come from the dolphins she cared for, her ability to relate to them and animals is wonderful.

As a life coach and energy worker she helps people overcome their barriers and create their wildest dreams.  She is trained in Usui and Tibetan Reiki, Ancient Healing, Bodytalk, Thai Massage and Yoga.  She teaches all levels of yoga specializing in Ashtanga and yoga for competitive swim clubs as part of their dry land training. She facilitates workshops on breath awareness and conscious breathing.

Although born in a land locked area, Jillian loves to be in the water, it's like her second home.  Enjoying wakeboarding and surfing, she is a certified Rescue SCUBA diver and is trained in water specific rescue, emergency first aid and CPR as an assistant life guard.  She dove the great barrier and Ningaloo Reef in Australia.  Can hold breath for 3 minutes and on her first time out to the Gulf Stream she free dove to a max of 84'.

Jill and Terri are our key people in the water to make sure that you always feel safe and comfortable whatever your skill level might be...we also promise that she will not be wearing the yellow fins on the left...

Our other Chef and Marine Biologist...Alex...Photos above and below...

We have a hard time getting photos of Alex on the boat because she is always behind the camera.  Hailing from Delaware, USA,, Alex was our do everything person last season and did a fantastic job!!! She will be joining us again this season.

Alex is also our chef, having changed up some of our meals to an even higher standard..mucho better!! She is also our Marine Biologist, SCUBA instructor, a certified and gifted freediver, our in water safety person and incredibly talented photo/videographer, DVD creator/burner...just be careful playing any card games with her as she really likes to win and usually does...

Alex is always around to help with what ever is needed on Indigo and to help take great care of all of our guests needs.

On the left are our two dolphin pups paddling in from a sunset walk on the beach.  Bim is our eight year old hospital therapy dog with the biggest heart that you could imagine. Storm, on the right, is our newest crew member at just over two years old, he is loaded with personality and love. Cuddling is free of charge.

The pups have their own space on Indigo and are never allowed in the guest/public areas to assure cleanliness and privacy to our guests. Guests may visit them at any time they wish for hugs and love...

Our Captain Jerry...Photos above and below...

Jerry is our do everything guy...He is a licensed Coast Guard and Bahamian Captain, one of the last of the true pirates, a treasure hunter, just coming back from his last dig with more stories for our guests. Our engineer, in water saftey person,  runs the dive deck making sure that everyone is safe. He is also our engineer, keeping an eye on all of our systems, boy do we have systems. He is also a great cook and has trained many of our chefs.

We have worked together for more years than we care to remember and there is no one that I would rather have on board to get me safely home. Jerr was raised by a tresure hunting, diving family and has been all over the world.

He has always been one of our guests favorite crew members and we're glad that he is able to rejoin us again for this season...
