Dolphin Expeditions-Shark Diving...

Dolphin Expeditions has been swimming with dolphins and sharks in the Bahamas for over 20 years.

After the incredibly successful swims last October and November when we hosted the two film crews from the BBC, filming the "Deadly 60" and the film crew from the reality show "The Deadliest Catch". We are offering Tiger Shark and Hammerhead dives at Tiger Beach, November 2010.

With our custom built, 91' live aboard "Indigo", we have the largest and most comfortable dive boat in the Bahamas for both dolphins and sharks. Along with dual compressors and nitrox, all our cabins have private bathrooms w/showers. Check out the "Our Boats" page.

In keeping with Dolphin Expeditions eco agenda--we feel honored to be able to bring guests to this special area to be able to experience the power and beauty of these amazing animals and the nature that surrounds them.

Along with being able to spend all the time time you wish in the water filming, we will also be filming you with one of the best underwater photographers anywhere , with the best equipment available.

Our Tiger shark diving dates are

To be announced

Priced at 2095.00 per person-- While offering the best pricing for Tiger Shark and Great Hammerhead swims by far. We also offer more shark time, being that we are the only live aboard that leaves from West End, Grand Bahama--just down the street from Tiger Beach. We don't have to do the Gulf Stream crossing like all the other boats--it saves a lot of time-it's like adding an extra day !!!

Our shark swims are offed as both caged and non-caged Tiger shark swims. Your choice. So that all of our guests will have the comfort level in the water that suits each person. This also opens this experience up to couples and families to be able to share this amazing experience together...

We will also have our two custom turbo diesel Naval dingies available for scouting out the area, playing with the local spotted dolphins and be able to check out the beautiful reefs in the area...

As always, at Dolphin Expeditions, your safety has and always will come first. We ask that all divers be Advanced Open Water certified (or equivalent) and have deep and drift diving experience. The non SCUBA cage diving doesn't require any of the above. The waters that we operate in are between 10 and 100 feet deep with the possibility of a slight current. You will be briefed before each dive concerning emergency procedures, shark behavior and diving.

We have always had great Tiger and Hammerhead shark interactions. This being a wild adventure, we cannot guarantee sharks or good weather. The weather is one of the reasons that we work out of Grand Bahama-it gives us more options if the weather gets bad.
